She completed a four year Masters Degree at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, Ca..

Lauren is a specialist in the field of reproductive wellness. She combines her skills of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and mind/body techniques with her genuine and compassionate approach to promote optimal health in her patients. Lauren has had advanced training and experience in the field of acupuncture for fertility as well as acupuncture for women’s health. She treats patients for fertility challenges, menstrual irregularities, hormone balance and pregnancy. Acupuncture for miscarriage prevention is also one of her specialties. She also treats both men and women for stress and emotional imbalance, chronic headaches, migraines, digestive disorders and of course, chronic pain. Acupuncture has long been proven to be a highly beneficial treatment for pain of all kinds.

While in San Francisco, Lauren studied and interned with Dr. Lifang Liang, a highly regarded Oriental Medicine Doctor and Fertility Specialist. She assisted Dr. Liang in her clinic and in editing her revised book “Acupuncture and IVF”. After graduating, Lauren relocated to San Diego to work with one of the area’s leading fertility acupuncturists, Kristen Burris, L.Ac. She also accompanies many of her patients to Fertility Centers in the Los Angeles area to provide acupuncture during their in-vitro fertilization procedures.

Golden Valley Acupuncture Center was established in Encino, California in 2007 by Lauren Civello, M.S., L.Ac. Lauren’s dream was to open a special healing space where she could offer a holistic alternative to health and wellness in the community.
